Specific Responsibilities
Must have valid driver’s license to travel to customer meetings and construction sites.
Minimal travel outside of Calgary (2-4 trips per year for [Company] or key customer meetings)

Develop existing PM team

Coach all Project Managers to drive project performance and customer satisfaction
Coach all Project Coordinators; define role and expectations for PCs
Lead support members of team (currently includes part-time scheduler)
Develop a team atmosphere with strong morale, clear direction, discipline and retention
Improve existing processes and tools to enable PMs to work more efficiently
Lead results-oriented monthly project reviews
Network with other [Company]PM teams worldwide to benchmark and leverage existing best practices
Organize formal and informal training opportunities
Provide semi-annual performance reviews with measurement objectives and targets

Represent PM team in business management team

Participate in business strategy, execution and reporting activities with management team
Work on cross-functional business initiatives including resources, processes, tools and cultural tasks
Define the requirements of PM managers and support prioritization of overall business activities
Represent [Company] in [Company] management meetings (regional or worldwide)

Create PM team to support aggressive growth plans

Define the growth plan of the PM team to meet overall business growth objectives
Define team roles (PMs, project coordinators, contract administrators, etc.) and timing of hiring and
development for growth intervals
Select and hire new employees for PM team
Provide input to support roles (documentation, engineering, production, etc.) for growth intervals

Specific Qualifications

Bachelors’ Degree, electrical engineering would be an asset
Minimum 10 years experience
Must be a member of the Engineering Association
Strong leadership experience for developing team
Strong background in Finance
Ability to deal with ambiguous challenges
Ability to develop team processes and structure
Experience with leading aggressive growth targets
Familiar with oil and gas, mining and utility customer needs
Previous electrical integration experience is an asset
Full project management skills a must (scheduling, costing, issue resolution, customer communications, contracting, etc)
Previous supervision or coordination of multi-functional resources
