Superintendent - Mine Technical Services

The [Company] Mine is one of the world's largest producers of top quality rough diamonds.  How did we achieve this?  By having an overwhelming commitment to working safely, mining responsibly, meeting our commitments and by hiring the best and brightest people in the industry.  We are a fly-in, fly-out operation located 300 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife.
 
Reporting to the Manager - Production, you will be responsible for the site based Mine Technical Services department, which provides geology, geotechnical, mine planning, budget planning and associated engineering services for our mine operations.  You will professionally manage the technical and professional development of this team so that they contribute to the profitability and planned growth of [Company].  Technical support and services to the operations and business development groups is essential.
 
As the ideal candidate you will possess a degree in Mine Engineering or Mine Geology and experience in leading technical teams in a fast paced innovative environment.  You are required to have experience in both open pit and underground mine planning / operations and some experience in cave management.  Preference will be given to candidates with sub level cave operations would be regarded favorably.  The ability to obtain a NWT WCB Supervisory 2 certification is requirement. 
 
This competition is limited to Canadian citizens or persons who have legal authorization to work in Canada.
 
The [Company] Mine is located 300 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife and is accessible only by plane.  The rotation for this position is 4 days on site followed by 3 days off.  The incumbent is expected to reside in Yellowknife
