Laboratory Supervisor
Fortescue Metals Group has the largest tenement holding in the Pilbara with over 4.5 billion tonnes of Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Resources and 1.1 billion tonnes of JORC Reserves. Cloudbreak, our primary mine located in the Chichester Ranges about 150 kilometres north of Newman, achieved practical completion in July 2008. We are now optimising to 55 mta. This first stage of ore production is already "sold out" to major Chinese steel mills and we have long term relationships with these mills.
Fortescue's mine team is made up of a wide range of occupations, from engineers to administrators and operators to geologists. There are more than 1000 people of all ages and cultures living onsite and working on family-friendly rosters designed to help our people achieve a healthy balance between work and recreation. Laboratory Supervisor
FIFO 8/6 ex Perth
· Develop and maintain the Laboratory Quality System
· Co-ordinate adherence to the compliance testing schedules
· Strong safety focus and understanding of all OH&S regulations
· Lead, coach and mentor lab team
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships
· Previous experience in a Supervisory role within a lab environment, preferably in mining
· Completed or prepared to enrol in Certificate IV Laboratory Techniques or equivalent
