Lead Engineer - Process - Mineral - Mine – Mining

The Principal/Lead Process Engineer will serve as Lead Process Engineer on project work and play a key role in business development activities by establishing and maintaining client relationships and work opportunities.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Source and manage process projects within the schedule and budget.
  • Provide project supervision, technical direction, mentoring, training, and peer reviews of other technical personnel as required.
  • Review and approve process balances, criteria, PFD’s, P&ID’s, specifications, reports, models.
  • Direct activities of project process engineers.
  • Participate in or lead site audits and commissioning activities as required.
  • Manage resolution of action points.
  • Client liaison.
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline, and M. Sc. or Ph. D an asset.
  • Registered with PEO, or eligible for registration.
  • Industry experience in excess of 15 years in various mineral processing activities, operations and/or engineering.
  • Expertise in gold, heap leach and POX processing with relevant operations and design experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability in additional languages an asset
