Superintendent Safety

Description:
·         Superintendent Safety will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating safety trends and provide leadership training
·         Coaching and mentoring services that support the eliminating all safety incidents resulting in a safe, healthy and efficient workforce and working environment.
·         Developing, implementing, improving and maintaining safety systems.
 
Minimum Requirements:
·         Bachelor Degree in Environmental Management or Occupational Health and Safety.
·         Five years working experience in the field of HSE of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory capacity.
·         Knowledge and experience in risk management, ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001
·         Knowledge and experience in incident investigation
·         Ability to use root cause process  - advantage
·         Formal Training or Certification as an auditor to perform HSE audits
 
Duties:
·         Ensure a well-equipped and trained work force in safety systems applicable
·         Determine compliance with Safety Standards
·         Determine validity, quality and scientific significance of the data
·         Interpret the correlations between human activities and safety incidents
·         Identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts
·         Manage budget allocated to section and initiating and implementing cost saving ideas
·         Enhance the Disaster and Recovery Management
Review and where needed develop and improve effective disaster risk management
