Where Mining Finds Its People

This job has expired. Click here to see new and active jobs like this one.

Jobs on CareerMine expire for many reasons. Either the employer has requested the advanced expiration of the job (as the vacancy has been filled or cancelled), or the job ad has expired after its normal running-time of 60 days within the CareerMine system. While there is the possibility that the vacancy may still be active, it is most likely that it has been filled or cancelled; otherwise it would be on CareerMine still.

It is strongly advised that you do not contact the company or advertising agency regarding this, or any other expired role, for the purposes of gaining employment with that company. Companies often impose strict penalties on job seekers who go outside of the established channels, to contact the employer regarding vacancies. (Employers have also made it clear in the past, that sourcing expired jobs and contacting them regarding their status, is one of these non-established routes.)

Environmental Officer

·         Field-based focus
·         Establsihed mining company
·         [Location] based + site travel
·         WA focus - multiple sites

We are working with an established mining services group that has proven to be a market-leader in the provision of mining services and equipment. They have a 'Blue Chip' portfolio of clients across Australia and have recently expanded their focus to include a variety of international locations. They are now well positioned to enjoy further growth as the global mining sector continues to strengthen.

A newly created position of Environmental Advisor has arisen within the WA Operations. This crucial position will take a lead role in the management of all environmental requirements across a diverse range of sites. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will use your previous field experience to ensure that all on-site activities are completed in line with legislative & client requirements and that relevant reporting standards are maintained.

The position will require relevant industry qualifications and recent experience in a similar position. Your ability to interact with a diverse range of clients will be an essential component in ensuring compliance with various environmental standards. You will also be expected to communicate these requirements throughout the organisation at both a Corporate & Operational level. This is a rare chance to assist an organisation with the implementation of pro-active environmental procedures while also retaining a clear operational involvement.

A competitive salary or contract rate will be negotiated based on the qualifications & experience offered. The fact that this is a newly created role does provide an opportunity for both a Contract or Full-time position to be offered. It is expected that approximately 50% of your time will be spent [Location] with the remainder involving travel to various sites across Western Australia.

At this time, only Australian residents are eligible to apply for this role.
