Trainer

Position Details
  • Schedule and deliver MSHA new miner, MSHA annual refresher and site specific training to employees and contractors, including plant safety rules, tenets of operation, first aid, confined space, emergency response and task training.
  • Schedule and deliver other company mandated training, including training in the areas of radiation safety, environmental awareness, quality systems, and human resources, either as the primary trainer of an alternate
  • Ensure that Job Task Analyses for operations and maintenance work are completed and maintained.
  • Maintain necessary records related to training for employees and contractors, and ensure that training database is updated as training is completed.
  • Track safety training deadlines, and ensure said deadlines are communicated to management and supervisors.
  • Assists with the care and provision of medical services to injured employees
  • Cascade the company’s core values “Excellence Trust Honesty Integrity Creativity Safety” (ETHICS) to the workforce.
  • Actively promote a high level of safety performance.
  • Serves as an alternate point of contact for MSHA, CalOSHA, ATF and local first response agencies in the absence of the Safety and Loss Control Superintendent.
  • Participates in the evaluation of the safety performance of new vendors
  • Coordinates periodic training provided by external sources, including root cause analysis, incident investigation, incident command and emergency response.
  • 5 years as a safety trainer at an MSHA regulated facility MSHA Trainer, American Red Cross First/CPR/AED trainer, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Bachelor’s degree Master’s Preferred
