Federal Services Program Manager

Matrix Design Group
[Company] is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to fill the role of Federal Services Program Manager. This is a senior management position working closely with other senior management personnel emphasizing our broad reaching Federal and Military practice lines.

Responsibilities

Marketing and Business Development:
  • Responsible for marketing Matrix Design Group, Inc.
  • Developing and maintaining a client base.
  • Organizing and writing major proposals and statements of qualification
  • Participating/leading presentations and interviews as appropriate
  • Marketing of existing clients
  • New business development.
  • Participation in selected professional societies, which will enhance your own professional development

Corporate Contributions:
  • Assume a leadership role within Matrix Design Group Inc. including the development of partnering relationships with group leaders to assist on multi-disciplined projects while expanding our federal practice.
  • Provide comments and suggestions for the direction of the firm, to help in day-to-day management activities and to assist in supervising and mentoring other Matrix employees.
  • Serve as an advisor to the Matrix Board of Directors which will provide you access to shareholder meetings and enable you to strategically support ownership and management transition goals of the firm.
Denver Federal Practice Leader Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and execution of the strategic plan to matriculate and provide for vertical integration of our broad reaching Federal and Military practice lines. Involvement on these programs range from re-use planning, care-taker operations, utility disposition, privatization of environmental remediation, military construction exchange programs, enhanced use leasing, joint land use studies, to program management of the redevelopment effort. Specifically, you will be responsible for supporting or performing the following tasks:
  • Pursuit of work under the existing contract vehicles.
  • Work senior staff to market the Army Corps of Engineers
  • Create a business strategy for design-build project delivery within the company for Federal and non-Federal opportunities.
  • Work with senior staff to expand in military construction exchange programs
Project Management and Program Management Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Project Manager or Program Manager on various private and public assignments.
  • Responsibility for project direction, presentations to clients, project communications, quality assurance, budget and schedule control, invoicing and preparation of work plans, reports and other project deliverables.
  • Work on inter-disciplinary assignments involving major asset development both locally and nationally.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Master's degree in same or an MBA
  • 20 years of relevant progressive engineering experience in private and public sectors
  • At least 10 years demonstrated success with project and program management
  • Significant supervisory and leadership experience
  • Proven marketing/business development and business management experience
  • At least 10 years successful experience in the Federal and other public sector arenas
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret relevant technical data relating to projects and agencies
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, legal documents and contracts and regulatory information
  • Short and long term planning abilities
