Loader Operator

Summary

Operates rubber tired or crawler type tractor with attached scoop type bucket on front end. Excavates and loads excavated materials, loads material from stockpiles, charges batch plants, and loads trucks.
May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
May perform other related duties such as back filling trenches / excavations

Requirements

May require occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and over. Job requires the following motions: climbing, stretching, driving/steering, sitting, twisting, vibration, and riding on rough terrain.
Must have distant visual acuity of at least 20/40 (Snellen) in each eye without corrective lenses or visual acuity separately corrected to 20/40 (Snellen) or better with corrective lenses, distant binocular acuity of at least 20/40 (Snellen) in both eyes with or without corrective lenses, field of vision of at least 70º in the horizontal meridian in each eye.
Uses hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
May be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather.
Overtime work is required.
Requires riding or driving to and from job sites.
