Project Manager

[Company] has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to plan, organize, schedule, and direct the activities of commercial and light industrial construction projects while maintaining strong relationships with their clients.
More specifically, the successful candidate will:
- Direct the production process including acquisition, schedule development, proposal writing, creation of construction projects, and contract negotiations;
- Receive and critically review work orders, preliminary plans, and proposals to determine feasibility;
- Coordinate construction activities including scheduling manpower and equipment requirements;
- Represent the organization at various community and business meetings, and promote existing and new programs or policies;
- Create proposals and budgets based upon preconstruction meetings and preliminary drawings;
- Develop and implement short and medium range operational plans, goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures;
- Work with the clients, architects, engineers and officials to ensure projects are completed in a safe manner, on time and on budget;
- Communicate with our clients on an ongoing basis with schedule, budget and progress updates;
- Perform other duties that are required of a similar nature or level.
The successful candidate will have:
- Completed technical training in construction, construction management, or project management or engineering;
- Substantial progressive project management experience coupled with estimating and costing controls;
- Expertise in design build construction;
- knowledge of pre-engineered metal buildings;
- Extensive experience in the commercial and industrial construction industry.
- Gold Seal Accreditation, registration as P.Eng (Civil or Industrial) or CET Certification is essential.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and time management skills along with strong leadership abilities, and will do whatever it takes to get the job done. Within this highly varied role, the candidate will have significant autonomy to make decisions with the intention of improving profitability, efficiency and improving the business processes, so you must be motivated and self driven. This role requires someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to effectively manage a diverse team, and nurture the builder – client relationship.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package starting at $80,000 - 90,000 per year depending on experience. This top performing role also comes with an exciting benefits package including:
