Collaboration Specialist

Job Responsibilities
  • The Sacramento office of MWH is seeking qualified candidates for an entry-level Collaboration Specialist position. Sacramento provides MWH with an ideal location to support efforts of Federal, State, regional and local water-related agencies/organization to promote and apply water management, flood control and environmental restoration strategies, from planning to implementation throughout California.
  • Responsibilities of this position include the following:
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on water resources projects throughout California.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors.
  • Perform project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
  • The MWH Sacramento office has more than engineers, planners, scientists, specialists, and support staff.
  • **This Position Requires Permanent Relocation To The Sacramento Office.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in communication, public relations, public or business administration, journalism, English or a closely related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in the following:
  • Synthesis of large amounts of information
  • Conflict management
  • Tools, techniques, and skills of collaboration
  • Facilitation techniques
  • Experience in the following subject matter areas preferred:
  • Integrated water management
  • Flood management and conveyance
  • Natural resource management and environmental restoration
  • California water resources (including river systems/water-related infrastructure and applicable laws/policies/regulations) and Federal planning processes.
  • National Environmental Policy Act; California Environmental Quality Act; and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal abilities for working in a team environment.
