Production Crew Coordinator/or Trainee

Responsibilities:
  • Plant operation and product quality on shift 
  • Resource for operating crews
  • Safety leadership
  • On-scene incident command
  • Team development and crew training
  • Team performance
  • Conflict resolution
  • Training and documentation
  • Administrative responsibilities (Time cards, OT, vacation approval)
  • Off-shift site coordination
  • Emergency steam and power coordination
  • Compile and implement crew safety action plan
  • Environmental compliance
Activities
  • Interact with other coordinators to facilitate site-wide operating decisions
  • Coordinate with maintenance regarding equipment availability
  • Perform administrative tasks (time cards, OT, vacation approval)
  • Monitor equipment and write appropriate work orders
  • Assist training specialist with evaluation of job training progress
  • Support ISO 9000 efforts
  • Oversee operational efficiency and rates
  • Assist crew in monitoring process samples
  • Facilitate team communication
  • Identify cost savings, efficiency improvement projects
  • Answer grievances
  • Oversee short interval controls
  • Participate in shift hand-off meeting
  • Work Production Weekend Duty
  • Support Responsible Care Program
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or GED and one year line supervisory experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 5 years plant operating experience OR
  • B.S. in Engineering/Chemistry
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
