Heavy Equipment Technician

Description:

A world leading heavy equipment company is looking for several Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics with a valid inter-provincial journeymen certification. Technicians will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mobile mining equipment including shovels, graders, off-road haul trucks, loaders and other heavy equipment either in the shop or in the field throughout various mine locations in beautiful South-Eastern British Columbia. This region offers some of the world's premier locations for fishing, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling which are just moments away from these mines. These mechanics must have the ability to diagnose equipment problems, disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, clutch and differentials by using all appropriate tools and following OEM and company procedures.

Compensation:

• $43.00 - $47.00/hour.
• There is a lot of overtime available all paid at double time.
• A comprehensive benefits and pension plan is also included.

Shifts:

• Rotating schedule working 12 hour shifts.
• 4 days on 4 days off followed by 4 night shifts and 4 days off.
