Senior Engineer - UPS Technical Solutions
Job Description
- Eaton Corporation in Raleigh, NC has an opening for a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer. This position is responsible to support specific customer applications, technical understanding by Sales, Product Management, and other engineering functions.
- Additionally, this position serves as a resource for next generation product platform design requirements based upon intimate knowledge of market and competitive offerings.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Applies product technology to new and unique applications.
- Supports Product Management, Development Engineering, and LSG applications.
- Generates technical publications and communications with Product Management.
- Presents product capabilities and performance to customers.
- Provides product feature, technology, and functionality requirements for new platform development.
- Leads design-related cost reduction opportunities.
- Supports the resolution of issues related to the application of the product.
- Aware of the products competitive environment.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
- Minimum of a BS in electrical engineering or computer science, MS preferred
- An understanding of the market technical future for applications of UPS and power distribution power products
- Fully understands the performance and capabilities of Eaton’s large UPS and power distribution products.
- Minimum of 3 years of design experience of power systems or data centers.
- Ability to make highly technical presentations to power engineers and consultants.
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal/ written communications.
- Position requires an individual who is self-motivated, self-managed, and team-oriented.
