Quality Manager

Primary Job Responsibilities  
  • Support operations and project management in the implementation of the Jacobs Quality Management System with the objective of achieving continual performance improvement.
  • Reviews operational performance against the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and facilitates changes and/or corrective actions, as necessary.
  • Identifies performance deficiencies and recommends/initiates solutions for improvement.
  • Audits and evaluates performance measurement data.
  • Coordinates and reports on quality advancement activities.
  • Supports all levels of the organization in the implementation of the quality management system.
  • Uses knowledge of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards related to operations and project management and/or quality to contribute to the development of new techniques and standards; considered expert in organization.
  • Develops processes that require innovation and ingenuity.
  • Work performed under general direction; has considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Interacts with internal and external personnel on major matters.
  • Project assignments as Quality Manager.
  • Conducts client surveys.
  • Prepares reports for management.
  • Participates in Quality Group teleconferences.
  • Reports to Director of Engineering
Training and Experience  
  • BS Engineering (any discipline)
  • 5+ years of quality management implementation in the design field.
  • Experience in metals and Minerals processing a plus.
