EHS Representative

Anadarko's mission is to deliver a competitive and sustainable rate of return to Shareholders by developing, acquiring and exploring for oil and gas resources vital to the world's health and welfare.
 
Job Summary:
  • This position is located in Vernal, UT as a member of the Environmental Health & Safety team working with Midstream and Production teams providing monitoring and clearance support in relation to the Uintah Basin hookless cactus requirements for project development as well as related reclamation and environmental duties.

Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of EH&S experience.
  • At least one (1) year of rare plant survey experience in the Uintah Basin or equivalent appropriate experience.
  • Basic knowledge of state and federal oil and gas regulations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal reclamation and vegetation monitoring requirements and scientific methodologies used for sampling/testing and reporting.
  • Must communicate effectively with operation/technical staff, management, and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Proficient technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementation, execution, and oversight of Anadarko reclamation and monitoring programs.
  • Provide clearance monitoring of hookless cactus for development, reclamation and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure permitting and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform oversight of reclamation and vegetation data collection, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Represent [Company] at local, state, and federal agency interactions.
  • Operation of most programs in the Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs.
  • Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is beneficial.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree required; Botany or Plant Science degree preferred, however candidates with Biology or applicable science degree will be considered with appropriate botany or plant taxonomy, plant field identification and plant ecology courses. At least 24 semester hours in botany and plant ecology courses required.
  • Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required
