Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification
Experience: 5 years or more
Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Bulldozer, large or small
Type of Work Experience: Fine grading and finishing, Sloping and banking
Work Setting / Industry Experience: Road construction, Surface mining
Specific Skills: Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety vest
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail
