Scheduling Leader

• This position is responsible to manage the planning and maintenance of MRP/MPS and KANBAN systems. This position contributes to continually meeting customer delivery expectations and maintains production scheduling to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Has responsibility for the following functions: demand planning, production scheduling, inventory control, assembly and purchasing.
• Prepare and execute production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery goals
• Periodic capacity analysis and planning. Communicate with manufacturing leadership on labor requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring production schedules/requirements are provided to the shop floor on a timely basis.
• Maintains prompt and timely communication with Customer Service.
• Manage the process that maintains accuracy of work order.
• Conduct inventory analysis and management to meet established Business goals. This includes inventory accuracy, storage, slow and obsolete reduction, FIFO and increasing inventory turns.
• Maintain Top Product availability. On time delivery to customer request dates.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and take action through LEAN (LEAD) processes.
• Ensure that planning and inventory related processes are being followed on the shop floor.
• Manage action items assigned though the ECR process.
• Special projects as assigned

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education and appropriate experience.
• Minimum of five to seven years materials experience including managerial experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Knowledge of plant manufacturing processes, for example: Production Control, Capacity Planning and Just in Time programs.
• Good knowledge of Material Requirements Planning, Master Production Scheduling, Kanban, Vendor Managed Inventory programs, and Purchasing
• Excellent interpersonal and cross - functional skills.
• Excellent communication skills; verbally and electronically.
• Independent decision-making, judgment and action required
• Required to be knowledgeable, perform and teach a variety of tasks or jobs (from simple to complex) within defined product areas or departmental functions. May guide and direct a work team - organizing and communicating with the work team to complete required tasks in the most efficient manner.
• Familiarity of current Microsoft Office programs- Including Excel, Outlook, and Word
