Requirements
  • [Company] is currently hiring entry-level consulting engineers in our Menlo Park, CA; Boston, MA; Phoenix, AZ; and Chicago, IL offices.
  • Various openings will become available throughout the 2011-2012 academic year. Career growth will include the opportunity for project management, client interaction, and eventually client development.
Responsibilities for these positions include:
  • Participating in field inspections at failure and accident sites
  • Conducting analytical and hands-on failure investigations
  • Planning and executing laboratory diagnostic tests
  • Performing mechanical and numerical analysis
  • Testing of mechanical designs under realistic conditions to determine the cause of accidents and failures
  • Preparing written reports, proposals, and presentations
Qualifications for these positions include:
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field is required
  • Excellent and creative problem solving ability
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently, as well as lead and work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-paced consulting environment
