Requirements
- [Company] is currently hiring entry-level consulting engineers in our Menlo Park, CA; Boston, MA; Phoenix, AZ; and Chicago, IL offices.
- Various openings will become available throughout the 2011-2012 academic year. Career growth will include the opportunity for project management, client interaction, and eventually client development.
Responsibilities for these positions include:
- Participating in field inspections at failure and accident sites
- Conducting analytical and hands-on failure investigations
- Planning and executing laboratory diagnostic tests
- Performing mechanical and numerical analysis
- Testing of mechanical designs under realistic conditions to determine the cause of accidents and failures
- Preparing written reports, proposals, and presentations
Qualifications for these positions include:
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field is required
- Excellent and creative problem solving ability
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently, as well as lead and work in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong desire to work in a fast-paced consulting environment
