Requirements
- The Mechanical Engineering Practice is currently seeking experienced candidates for Senior Managing/Principal Engineer positions in our Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX, Atlanta, GA; and Bowie, MD offices.
- As a Senior Managing/Principal Engineer you will have a significant role in developing business and expanding the practice in your technical and geographic area.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities
- Analyzing the failure of a wide variety of products via field inspections, experimental testing and engineering analysis
- Providing failure prevention services
- Significantly increasing Exponent’s mechanical engineering consulting efforts
Qualifications for this position include:
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related
- Significant business development experience with a proven track record
- The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in their field with an established consulting practice
- Consulting experience in failure analysis and/or litigation support is preferred
- Ability to attract projects to support full-time staff, and to manage and develop a group of highly motivated individuals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
- A record of professional papers and presentations, and a proven record of dedication to quality and accuracy
