Senior Hydrogeologist

Description

  • This position will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides engineering and geologic support on an enterprise-wide basis. A Master of Science degree in Geology or Geologic Engineering is required as well as an academic concentration in water resources or pertinent industrial experience.
  • The candidate should have professional registration or be in the process of completing licensure within one year. The position will assist the team in conducting forensic investigations, formulating protocols and policies as well as administering groundwater management and protection programs.
  • The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to provide credible results in an expeditious manner, and an intense desire to achieve excellence. Strong project management skills will be valuable. Experience and knowledge of the Exploration and Production business is critical. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full time basis without restrictions.

Required Skills:

  • An exceptionally high level of communication skills both written and verbal. Candidates should plan to provide samples of technical reports.
  • The ability to think and function independently in challenging situations to professionally resolve claims of damage from the public.
  • Familiarity with water quality parameters, their acquisition and interpretation. Should have the ability to use field instrumentation to acquire basic water quality measurements.
  • Expert knowledge of the construction, completion and maintenance of private water supply systems.
  • Should be expert in the use of Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Pro. Good skills in ArcMap GIS and database management is an advantage.
  • Previous experience as an expert witness and interacting with state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Local travel on a regular basis and occasional overnight travel.
