Our more than 900 staff members work in 24 offices across the United States and abroad. [Company] has approximately 600 consultants, including more than 350 that have earned a doctorate in their chosen field of specialization.
- [Company] Environmental Sciences Practice has scientists and engineers with expertise in a variety of disciplines, including chemistry, bioavailability, environmental forensics, environmental liability and cost apportionment, global product stewardship, site investigation and remediation consulting, transport and fate modeling, and water resources and water quality management. In addition, our staff can draw on the knowledge and expertise of scientists, engineers, physicians, and business consultants specializing in more than 90 technical disciplines within Exponent.
- We are currently seeking a Senior Managing/Principal Scientist for our Environmental Sciences Practice in Washington, D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco. The ideal candidate will be part of a national team and will lead the expansion and development of [Company] environmental business in the local and national market. He/she must have a strong personal client following and have the desire to help the national Environmental Sciences Practice grow by attracting and hiring qualified staff, and by taking advantage of the current highly qualified staff and capabilities. Prior work and current expertise should be focused on: litigation support, expert witness testimony, planning and management of environmental investigations and remediation, and other types of strategic environmental and scientific consulting.
Qualifications for this position include:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Geology, Soil Science, Chemistry, Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Hydrogeology, Atmospheric Science, or related discipline
- Fifteen (or more) years of experience in environmental consulting, including experience as an expert witness
- An outstanding reputation among clients for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
