Senior Environmental Engineer

Position Responsibilities:

  • GeoEngineers is seeking a talented Senior Environmental Engineer to help expand our environmental and remediation engineering practice in the Puget Sound region. Exciting project opportunities exist for passionate and driven leaders ready to grow their engineering, environmental RI/FS and remediation careers; join our dynamic environmental team and collaborate on landmark cleanup and restoration projects in upland and waterfront settings. 
  • Responsibilities include technical management of upland and sediment remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design and monitoring and hydrogeologic studies; preparation of technical reports and proposals, engineering designs, and bid documents; development of field, analytical, and project management skills in technical staff, and management of clients and projects as well as participation in the development of new clients and markets.

Position Requirements:

  • As an ideal candidate, you will possess a degree in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering (BS required, MS strongly preferred) and 8+ years related professional experience including recent RI/FS work; preparation of FS reports; evaluation and costing of remedial alternatives; remedy selection, design and implementation; design of remediation systems; preparation of bid specifications and design drawings for remediation construction; project/task management including budget and scope development; and prior experience on large projects with regulatory oversight and involvement. 
  • Working knowledge of Washington State Model Toxics Control Act or comparable local, state and federal environmental regulations required. Sediment expertise, including characterization and cleanup remedies, highly desired. 
  • Experience in landfill work, sustainable development, LID, stormwater and water quality/quantity a plus. Successful candidates will be highly motivated with high aptitude for technical writing, strong project management and scope and budget development skills and proven problem-solving capability. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must! Registration in Washington State required.
