Solid Waste/Geotechnical Engineer

• Golder Associates Inc . is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for either the Lansing, MI or Wixom, MI office. This individual will participate in civil and environmental engineering projects that involve civil engineering design, stormwater design and management, geotechnical evaluation, subsurface investigation, environmental remediation, landfill gas system design, waste management facility design and permitting, and construction management. The position requires travel and fieldwork as dictated by project demands.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil, Mining or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical, Civil or Environmental engineering;
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the civil, mining or environmental engineering field.
• Experience with solid waste facility design, permitting, construction and monitoring;
• PE registration;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with leadership ability and a positive attitude;
• Ability to work both independently and within groups;
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and database software;
• OSHA 40 hour Hazwoper Health and Safety training preferred.
• Candidate must be eligible for employment status in U.S., possess a valid U.S. driver's license, present a professional work appearance, interact well with the public, have excellent teamwork skills, and pass a pre-employment physical including drug screening and criminal background check.
