Financial Accountant

Job Description

• The Financial Accountant for ENS in Binghamton, New York will be responsible for the all aspects of accounting and supporting the goals of the ENS Financial team with a focus on accounts receivable. Also responsible for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Liaison for external and internal financial audits
• Business participant at all levels of the business and with all disciplines
• Effectively lead and assist in the development Financial Team Members
• Demonstrated ability to post general ledger entries and to maintain general ledger
• Demonstrated ability to use Hyperion and Accounting software
• Liaison with corporate tax department
• Responsible for internal control implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Other duties as assigned as the business/department grows/expands

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with specialization in Accounting or Finance is required, masters preferred
• CPA certification is preferred
• At least five years of progressive experience manufacturing a plus
• Ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment is required
• Ability to produce and analyze financial statements and forecast is required
• Sound interpersonal skills are required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
• Ability to rapidly and accurately analyze a situation to arrive at an effective decision is required
• Strong skills in account analysis, problem solving, attention to detail, and writing of commentary and analytical summaries is required
• Successful experience in developing and implementing Sarbanes-Oxley and US-GAAP compliant business procedures is required
• Excellent organization skills are required
• Credit and collection experience required
• Proficiency using electronic spreadsheet, database, word-processing, and graphical presentation software, preferably Microsoft Office applications is required
