Field Technician

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate; Associates degree a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of field experience working on commercial construction projects performing some or all of the following:
• Earthwork observations and testing (field density testing of soils and aggregate base course materials);
• Concrete sampling, concrete reinforcement observations;
• Bearing grade observations for foundations;
• Structural steel construction observations and testing (i.e. snug test for bolted connections, fillet weld inspection, nelson studs, etc.)
• Concrete masonry unit observations and testing (i.e. reinforcement placement observations, sampling grout and mortar cubes / prisms, etc.)

Candidates:

• Must be able and willing to climb to inspect steel and masonry;
• Must be able to read and interpret project documents (plans and specifications);
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat;
• Must be able to write accurate and concise field reports.
• NICET, ICC and ACI Certifications a plus.
• Training will be provided as necessary.
