- The Water Resources Group of the Civil Engineering Practice is currently seeking experienced candidates for senior level consulting positions in our Boston, New York, Alexandria, and Chicago offices. As a Principal Engineer you will have a significant role in developing business and expanding the practice in your technical and geographic area. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, securing new business opportunities and significantly increasing Exponent’s Water Resources consulting efforts.
- Exponent’s Water Resources Group specializes in the application of proven hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, and sediment transport research and science to provide scientifically sound and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
Exponent’s staff has experience with the following types of water resources analysis:
- Dispersion of Pollutants
- Dredging
- Flood Hazard Analysis
- Hydrodynamics
- Hydrology and Hydraulics
- Natural Hazard Evaluation
- Permitting and Coordination with Local, State and Federal Agencies
- Remote Sensing Data Analysis
- Sediment Transport
- Slope Instability and Landslides
- Water Availability Analysis
- Water Resources Planning
- Wildfire Impacts
Qualifications for these positions include:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources Engineering
- Significant business development experience with a proven track record
- The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in their field with consulting experience and an established practice
- Ability to attract projects to support full-time staff, and to manage and develop a group of highly motivated individuals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
- A record of professional papers and presentations, and a proven record of dedication to quality and accuracy
