Sr. GEO Analyst, E&P Data
Role:
- The E&P Data Coordinator is responsible for all matters related to proprietary and vendor E&P data solutions, including data management, quality control, loading, replication, database structure, and tools to report, add, and transfer data to and from technical computing applications. The E&P Data Coordinator provides functional leadership to centralized and co-located data management staff.
- Reporting Relationship: Team Leader, E&P Data
Duties / Responsibilities
The E&P Data Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Efficient and effective management of E&P data management environment.
- Discovery of data sources for required data.
- Capture, loading, quality control, replication, and reporting of data.
- Working with the Team Leader, E&P Data, to ensure E&P databases are consistent with [Company] E&P data management standards.
- Providing technical guidance to Geo-technicians.
- Participation on E&P data governance board.
- Ensuring consistent administration of technical databases.
- Facilitating knowledge transfer and information sharing across the enterprise.
Key Skills / Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Geoscience or Engineering with 10+ years’ experience managing E&P data for large independent or major oil and gas firms.
- Excellent team and individual leadership skills.
- Strong customer orientation with experience in dealing effectively with employees of many disciplines (geoscience, engineering, drilling, and IT).
- Strong, personal commitment to change.
- Creativity to improve processes and results.
- Demonstrated skills in the development of new and innovative ideas and strategies to solve business problems within a strategic framework.
