Mining Product Line Manager

Description

• Individual must be able to manage all aspects of the Becker/SMC
• Mining Product Line (power distribution and control systems).
• Responsible to manage a group of mining equipment project engineers, electrical and mechanical designers, and production employees through a complete project evolution. Assist sales and customers with product information, design support, specifications, quotations, technical support, order placement, project commissioning, and customer service.
• Must be able to read and comprehend electrical diagrams/schematics, interpret customer specifications and generate detailed work and quotation instructions.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
• Must possess electrical and mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Must be able to submit sales reports and customer contact summaries.
• Individual must display a conscientious and safe work style.
• Must be able to compile and update competitive intelligence, maintain monthly forecasting and identify trends in mining that will impact product sales and development.
• Must be able to support other departments during the design, manufacturing, and field service process.

Essential Job Requirements

• Education – 4 yr. degree (EE degree)
• Experience – 3-5 years (minimum) of mining/industrial Engineering
• Management or Product Line Management
• Required Skills – good written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred Skills – EE or Certified Mine Electrician, CAD skills, PLC
• and programming skills, knowledge of 3-phase power distribution and
• PLCs
