Description

• Joint Interest Accounting responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities:
• Payroll distribution and automobile mileage/expense allocation
• Provides training to Operations personnel on time and auto mileage reporting
• Sales tax refunds
• Account reconciliations
• Temporary account clearing journal entry
• Responsible for recording miscellaneous journal entries and adjustments to joint interest properties
• Calculates annual employee benefit percentage for comparison to COPAS employee benefits limitation percentage
• Miscellaneous activities and special projects assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will meet the following requirements:

• Accounting degree – BSBA required
• Licensed CPA or CPA eligible
• Proactive self-starter
• Inquisitive with a need to understand the “why” not just the “how-to”
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Able to interact with employees outside of accounting at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently and as member of a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
