Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Salary Rate:      $150-175 k/per annum

Role Summary:

Our Client is a leading mining consulting firm, providing services exclusively to the minerals sector. Working with clients to plan new mines and improve operations of existing mines with a primary focus on achieving optimum output and return. They are looking to add a Sr. Geotechnical Engineer to join their team and work in conjunction with Regional Manager in the Toronto Office.

Generic Duties And Responsibilities:

• Experience in geotechnical investigation, analysis and design.
• 10 years of operational experience in hard rock mining in either open pit and/or underground mining environments.
• Sound understanding and use of mining and geotechnical software ( ex# GE05,Minesight).

Education

• Degree in geology, geological engineering or mining engineering.
• Canadian residency status

Accreditation 
Registration as a P.Eng. In Ontario or be eligible to apply for Registration.

• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive enquiries and complaints.
• Ability to understand and both read, write /converse in English proficiently
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing on a technical level
• Must have demonstrated interpersonal and customer relations skills.

• Ability to make decisions and solve problems using independent judgment in situations requiring the use of multiple variables in complex non-standard situations
