Technical Sales Representative – Resin Coated Proppants

The Technical Sales Representative will have the primary functions of providing sound sales management and business leadership for assigned region(s) in support of corporate objectives, providing leadership and mentoring to assigned sales teams and/or direct report(s), to promote and sell [Company] products and services, and to represent [Company] in a professional manner.

The primary responsibilities of the Technical Sales Representative are to establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan for fulfilling quotas for assigned region(s) in support of national objectives, develop plans that detail how they and their assigned sales team and/or direct reports will meet sales goals or quotas, prepare monthly reports that provide sales figures to corporate leaders as well as reports that forecast expected future sales, and to recruit new customers and ensure that existing customers receive excellent service.

The Technical Sales Representative must be comfortable working in a corporate office atmosphere as well as within industrial factory of heavy industries settings. This position requires the ability to meet sales goals, experience building relationships, and a results driven individual.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed all order, revenue, and EBIDTA goals assigned
  • Develop and manage sales strategies and sales budgets
  • Meet cost budgets for themselves and their team members and/or direct reports
  • As a team leader and/or with direct reports, accomplish regional sales human resource objectives (in conjunction with Human Resources and Senior Sales Management) by participating in the recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining (as per Human Resources Guidelines) team members and/or direct reports in assigned region(s)
  • Perform performance reviews of team members and/or direct reports as requested
  • Make presentations, demonstrate products, and represent the company at trade shows
  • Conduct regional sales meetings
  • Monitor and evaluate the competition’s product lines and suggest new products that will help expand [Company] business
  • Maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new customer opportunities
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks
  • Work as a liaison or arbitrator between the operations group, marketing services, technical services, customer service, and sales; any major issue should be promptly communicated to
  • Senor Sales Management and/or Human Resources

Qualifications
Experience and Education

  • Must have a degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling resin coated proppants; 10 years required without college degree
