Safety Advisor(S)

About the Job

Our client is seeking Safety Advisors for their mining operation in the Fort McMurray area – the successful candidate(s) must currently reside in the Fort McMurray area (or be willing to relocate).

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Maintain COR compliant of safety management system program
• Promoting incident and injury prevention programs
• Educating management and workers with respect to safety standards, rules and regulations
• WBC claims management
• Facilitating safety programs, leading safety committees, helping management and supervisors with the Corporate safety communication programs
• Conducting safety orientations, incident investigations, evaluating work procedures, and identifying and controlling hazards for the operational areas

Education and Experience Required:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Safety Advisory role
• Related mining experience
• Post secondary education related to safety (OHS Certificate)
• All other HSE designations or certificates will be considered
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Computer proficiency required

This is a permanent salaried role ($140k +) and offers an excellent benefits plan.
