Geotechnical Technical Director/Business Leader

Role:

A unique opportunity exists in central London for a highly qualified geotechnical engineer & manager to join a well known UK consultancy to set up their London geotechnical team. Their core business in London at present is Civil Structural engineering and they now want to expand into Geotechnical work. The group has existing geotechnical projects around the UK which would need to be managed but this role would enable you to create new opportunities for the business and create a new team of engineers around you.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, my client is looking for:

• Ideally a Civil Engineer (Engineering Geologists may be considered with the right skills)
• UK chartership is essential. E.g C.Eng/CGeol
• A highly technical engineer with excellent design capabilities
• Excellent knowledge of other related disciplines e.g. Geoenvironmental/Geology
• A business leader & commercially astute engineer - excellent client facing skills are essential - must be able to key sell other areas of the business outside of your own discipline
• A team leader - extensive experience of leading and managing groups of teams
