We are urgently seeing Seismic Processing Geophysicists (all levels) for clients throughout the UK.
Successful applicants will be responsible for all phases of 2D and 3D time and/or depth projects including generation of processing flows, parameter selection and velocity interpretation.
Duties:
• Responsible for performing parameter testing and evaluation for all pre-processing and imaging steps
• Responsible for executing and/or overseeing execution of production and QC
• Responsible for ensuring projects meet quality and turnaround goals
• Responsible for quality control of processing projects performed
Job Requirements (a solid mix of):
• Bachelors or advanced degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics or Math preferred, but will consider other degrees
• 2-5+ years of experience in Seismic data processing; experience in time and/or depth processing desirable
• Good grasp of geophysical and geological principles
• Advanced problem solving and multi-tasking skills are needed
• Experience with UNIX and/or Linux based software packages and workstations
Qualifications:
• Ability to identify data problems and demonstrate workflow of solutions
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good command of the English language
• Motivated to produce superior quality products while adhering to project timelines
• Ability to manage projects proficiently with little supervision
