Maintenance Tech - Electrical

Primary Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Installs, maintains and repairs a broad range of electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Must have thorough background in industrial electricity and knowledge of schematics, AC/DC systems, PLCs. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrically driven operating systems and equipment. Operates equipment in conjunction with repairs and provides assistance in operating functions as necessary to maintain continuous operations. May work alone with minimal supervision or other maintenance technicians.

Work Environment:

• The job is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the mill. Dependent upon the area you will work in, the environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
• As you also know, the position requires you to work rotating shifts, which will include Saturdays and Sundays. The position also requires you to work overtime as needed.
• Additionally, safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hard hat, goggles, hearing protection, and protective clothing and work boots with metatarsal protection. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Requirements: Must have one year of electrical or mechanical experience in a manufacturing setting and be able to pass an assessment test.
