An opportunity exists for an experienced Training Coordinator in mining operations to work for a leading mining contracting and civil construction company.


This role entails the management and delivery of training in mining operations. Specifically, you will:

• Comply with relevant legislation
• Carry out specific HS&E responsibilities
• Manage the training matrix
• Identify and analyse training needs
• Establish project training objectives
• Provide training tools and materials
• Conduct site inductions
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Ensure personnel are trained in the effective use of personal protective equipment
• Ideally, you will have experience in the training field within the mining / construction industry with a significant understanding of site training systems, legislation and standards of operations.

We are looking for someone who is very driven, works well autonomously, has excellent time management skills and is a strategic thinker. The successful applicant will be able to drive training outcomes and identify and implement opportunities to achieve best practice training processes that ensure all employees and contractors consistently achieve high levels of skills to allow for safe production.


Must have the following:

• S1, S2, S3 & G2 competencies
• Certificate 1V - Train the Trainer
• Understanding of Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act, Regulations and where applicable Codes of Practice
• Site Light Vehicle Authorisation
