Instructional Design -Learning (Contract Position)

Description

  • Instructional  Design Learning Specialist – Content Development
  • 6 Month Contract Assignment -Temp

Responsibilities:
Initial areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

  • Use Adult Learning Principles and Instructional Design Methodology (analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate) to create and maintain comprehensive training programs (instructor-led and asynchronous), for a global learning audience. (Example Topics: Sales, Customer Care, New Employee On-Boarding, Product Launches, Safety, Security, etc.)
  • Develop training components, utilizing authoring tools and collaborative technology
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts, in the creation and revision of training curricula
  • Create/Maintain training manuals and course materials
  • Ensure proper coordination of assigned training programs, with all internal providers of training content
  • Ensure effective implementation of learning strategies and objectives
  • Monitor learners’ progress through curriculum, and then apply observations and results to program improvement
  • Ability to transfer instructor-led and hard-copy training materials to online format
  • Formulate yearly training programs, based on company, product and market objectives, and identified training needs
  • Monitor and communicate trends, influences, opportunities and best practices, in corporate training and technology

Participate in technology efforts, including:

  • Establishment of system requirements
  • Generation of training media
  • Facilitation of successful interactions with internal and external IT teams
  • Participate in the support of the Victaulic Learning Management System
  • Create/Update and upload online learning materials for training
  • Develop and coordinate accredited engineer and contractor continuing education programs, in accordance with applicable industry standards
  • Maintain Learning Management System database, including records of CEU/PDH credit, program attendees
  • Complete miscellaneous projects, as assigned by the Sales Training Team Leader.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in training, education, instructional design or related field
  • Experience in education, training, marketing, programming, graphic design or educational architecture preferred
  • Certification in Adult Learning and/or Instruction Design a plus
  • Computer skills and working knowledge of relevant e-learning software, including Articulate, Camtasia, Lectora, Captivate, Flash, Adobe Design Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to translate technical date into easy-to-understand sales language
  • Ability to independently manage and lead multiple projects.
  • Ability to successfully communicate and interact with internal staff (including upper management and sales force), outside vendors, and customers
  • Strong project management skills (organization, scheduling, time management, attention to deadlines and budgets, etc.)
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work as a team member or independently
