Sales Training Specialist (Temp to Perm)

Basic Function:

  • Responsible for development and implementation of Training Department programs and initiatives as assigned by the Sales Training Team Leader. Responsible for developing, organizing, and maintaining effective training materials and resources.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and execute integrated training programs globally for the Sales Training Department. Formulate yearly training programs based on company, product and market objectives and training needs.
  • Must stay abreast of corporate training trends, influences and opportunities in technology.
  • Responsible for development and oversight of training modules as assigned by the Sales Training Team Leader. Ensure proper coordination with all internal providers of training content.
  • Primarily responsible for initial facilitation with increased exposure to training content. Will eventually transition into a presenter role.
  • Develop training components utilizing authoring media and ensure effective implementation of learning strategies and objectives.
  • Develop all relevant training materials from concept through completion. Responsible for development, administration and maintenance of managing trainees’ progress through curriculum and using this information for continuous program improvement.
  • Work in conjunction with the Sales Training Coordinator on the facilitation and coordination of logistical aspects of classroom training.
  • The facilitation of content revision and creation in conjunction with subject matter experts in addition to supporting the Victaulic Sales Training Development Classroom.
  • Maintain Sales Training Manual and course materials with updated materials and information with semi-annual formal reviews.
  • Development of classroom reference guides and handouts.
  • Maintain training manuals and course materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Training, Education, Curriculum Design or related field.
  • Experience in education, training, marketing, programming, graphic design or educational architecture a plus.
  • Outstanding computer skills and knowledge of relevant software including Macromedia Authorware, Flash, Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, MS Office and current Internet and e-learning technologies.
  • Ability to translate technical data into easy-to-understand sales language.
  • Ability to manage and direct multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with outside vendors, customers, sales force and upper management.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 25%.
  • Excellent Public speaking skills..
  • Ability to meet deadlines, budgets and objectives and work as a team.
