Management Accountant

Our client is a leading civil construction company who offers an impressive array of engineering and transport expertise to the oil and gas, construction and mining industries in Australia, Papua New Guinea and surrounding South Pacific countries.


With over 2,000 employees, they are now seeking to employ a Management Accountant based at their Port Moresby office.


Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all costs and revenues are correctly captured to assist with the ongoing management and reporting of all jobs.


The successful applicant will be responsible for:
  • reconciliation of the company's job cost ledger;
  • invoicing of completed jobs and accrual of work in progress;
  • preparation of monthly job costing reports;
  • budget development and administration.


To be successful in this role, suitable applicants will have:
  • a Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Management;
  • well developed analytical skills;
  • previous experience working in PNG or in a multi-cultural environment;
  • excellent leadership skills;
  • superior written and oral communication skills
  • proven experience working within the mining and construction sectors.
  • This role is a residential position in PNG with an attractive salary package on offer including, accommodation, vehicle, club membership and return flights twice yearly to point of hire.
