One of Australia's largest publicly listed companies in chemical manufacturing and suppliers of mining reagents is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their cutting edge team at their modern site. As a Chlorine Plant Engineer you will be provided with the support, training and career growth opportunities required to be successful. You will be held accountable for but not limited to: Safety, Health, & Environment, Plant Reliability, Maintenance Planning and Shutdowns, Statutory Compliance, Financial Budgets, Continuous Improvements, and Quality Accreditation.


THE ROLE
  • To provide technical leadership to the mechanical maintenance team.
  • To plan, direct and implement the reliability roadmap and to support the objectives of safety, reliability, quality, production uptime, and people development.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Statutory and Engineering standards, and in particular, rigorous implementation of the modifications procedure.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) preferred.
  • Knowledge of interactions with other engineering disciplines eg process control, process operations, electrical and instrumentation, structural and civil.
  • Effective Leadership - ability to coach, develop, direct, motivate, and manage a large multi-disciplined maintenance team.
  • Experience in Pump or Piping design/analysis and structural corrosion prevention.
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship development skills.
  • Prior use of SAP maintenance systems would be an advantage.
