Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager – Shared Services, you will provide leadership, expert advice, coaching and direction to senior management and line managers pertaining to Industrial Relations / Human Resource matters.

Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager – Shared Services, you will provide expert advice, coaching and direction to senior management and line managers pertaining to Industrial Relations / Human Resource matters.
In the role of HR/ IR Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of seven HR and Recruitment staff.
- Review and develop HR policies, procedures, manuals and job descriptions
- Facilitate Performance and Probationary Reviews
- Assist Line Managers with Employee Management and conduct Disciplinary / Counseling Meetings.
- Investigate and provide resolutions or information as required for Employee Disputes or Grievances.
- Provide HR/ IR information for tenders such as drafting Employee Relations Management Plans
- Manage Employee Benefits such as Employee Assistance Program.
- Work closely with senior management in the preparation, negotiation and execution of industrial instruments.
- Lead discussion and negotiation with unions in matters of enterprise agreement bargaining, industrial matters and disputes
To be successful you’ll need:
- Formal qualifications in Human Resource Management
- Previous management experience
- Detailed working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, other relevant legislation and have experience in the interpretation of Enterprise Agreements
- Proven hands on experience in resolving both day to day and more complex HR / IR matters.
- High level of investigative and analytical skills
- The ability to foster productive working relationships.
- Aptitude to manage multiple complex issues simultaneously
- Exceptional verbal and highly developed written communication skills
