Boilermaker Foreman – EE Candidates

Salary:  R24 000 – R26 000 nett salary + Provident Fund + Pension + Medical Aid depending on exp

A plant hire services company is looking for a Boilermaker Foreman to be located at the Machadadodorp site.  The successful Candidate is to ensure production and quality of work so that contractual obligations are met.

Edu/Exp/Skills

  • Trade certificate in boilermaking
  • Supervisory certificate adv
  • Coded welder certification adv
  • 5 to 8 years in opencast equipment maintenance (3 of which must be in supervisory capacity)
  • Open cast with Heavy Earthmoving equipment experience (100 – 200 ton machines), Bucket and Excavator
  • Open Pit experience – a must

Duties:

  • Ensure safety standards are adhered to
  • Maintain and enhance Customer relations
  • Manage HRM
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Computer literacy (MS Office) – SAP; Pronto; MRP / ERP
  • Advanced knowledge of Machines & Equipment
  • Knowledge of maintenance management
  • Process job requests
  • Ensure that workshop equipment is in good order and maintained.
  • Ensure that shift welders and shift boilermakers perform their tasks as per specifications and their tasks.
  • Inspect machines and chassis for component cracks and co-ordinate repairs across the company’s fleet (Dozers, excavators, dump trucks, etc.)
  • Track G.E.T. life across major fleet groups.
  • Perform daily inspections for main fleet attachments
  • Co-ordinate maintenance requirements for wear packages on all dump trucks, excavators and dozers.
  • Liaise with head office workshops regarding defects and warranty claims regarding repairs for excavator buckets and dozer blades.
  • Annual budget review and presentation for responsible area/section
  • Co-ordinate all general fabrication work for effective and efficient operations as raised through job cards.
