Minimum Requirements

• Preferably with a BSc in Geology or Mineral resourcing, suitable applicants will ideally have over 5 years’ experience working in a similar position.

• This renowned Gold operator is a highly dynamic company whose success has resulted from exceptional project delivery for customers in South Africa. The company provides full operational services in the world’s richest gold regions enhancing its excellent growth possibilities.
• The continuous growth of the world-class company now boasts a huge $2Bn market capitalisation running across global borders. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Mine/Production Manager to be centred in Witwatersrand with immediate effect within their mining division.
• The role will report to the Mine Manager and be employed on a permanent basis.

Your key duties will include:

• Ensure that the assets are optimally managed to obtain optimum equipment life and availability at the most economical cost
• Ensure that the service and maintenance is provided to the Mine and the surrounding communities
• Ensure the management of all relevant contractors
• Ensure the monitoring, controlling and managing of financial planning and expenditure in order to maximise return on investment in terms of the Services Section
• Ensure the application and deployment of human resources in a way that maximises the benefit to the business as well as to themselves
• To ensure the competence of all subordinates to deliver the outputs of their jobs
• To ensure that work ethics are of such a nature that workers continuously strive towards improving their own performance
• To ensure the existence of a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractors can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment
• Adhering to all health and safety standards and requirements
• An annual cost to company package from R1m to R1.4m is provided plus a performance bonus and excellent career progression.
