This is an exceptional opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients’ Design and Projects Engineering Division.
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, your role will be to produce a range of mechanical designs and associated documentation, to include the following:
• Foundation Drawings
• Plant GA Drawings
• Plant Detail Drawings
• BOM’s for specific parts
• Installation Drawings
• Pipework Drawings (conceptual or detailed)
• Showing layout, expansion and support criteria
• Basic design information for outsourced packages
• Design calculations
Your duties will include:
• Attending site measure-up
• Collecting sufficient information to allow the design work to proceed where required
• Attending customer meetings
• Ensuring that the overall design package is complete
• Management of your own workload
• About you / Essential requirements
• Mechanical design qualification
• Minimum 5 years Mechanical design experience
• Excellent time management skills
• Experience of working within a fabricated or structured steel works environment would be advantageous (although not essential)
• The ability to communicate at all levels
Package:
• The salary is £25,000 – £32,000 (dependant on experience)
