Geologist

Position Summary:

We currently have an opening for a Geologist.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and expertise on the geological aspects of development and production for the mine.
  • Structural and Geological Mapping of Development and Exploration Headings
  • Geological Interpretation
  • Preparation of Maps and Reports
  • Interpretation and Calculations of Ore Reserves
  • Maintenance of the Geological Database
  • Provision of Geological Information to Operating Personnel
  • Planning for Drilling and Core Logging

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years experience in progressive hands on geology experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of geology acquired through formal education and field mining experience.
  • Thorough understanding of a variety of mineral deposits.
  • Familiar with geochemical and geophysical techniques and how they may be applied to exploration.
  • Knowledge of legal and governmental regulations pertaining to property negotiating and mining
The capability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a changing, creative and energetic environment.
