Health And Safety Specialist

Our client is seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to work within their HSE team at their Red Deer location!

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance in regards to OH&S regulation and code
• Liaise with regulatory HSE bodies
• Perform site inspections, job hazard analysis, program audits, and incident investigations
• Develop Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Trend analysis and development of corrective actions
• Facilitating and performing training and development
• Preparation of statistics for management
• Lead safety initiatives and strategies
• Safety related administration tasks

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety
• Minimum 4 - 5 years experience in an HSE role
• Experience in conducting training sessions
• Excellent understanding of OHS regulations
• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or mining work environment is an asset
• Good initiative and attention to details
• Ability to work in a team environment

This permanent, full time position is based out of the Red Deer branch and requires minimal travel (5 day/month) throughout Alberta.

This is a salaried role ($65,000 – $75,000) and offers an excellent benefits plan.
