Project Engineer

Redpath Mongolia LLC requires a Project Engineer for our Oyu Tolgoi Shaft 1 project in Mongolia. Rotational schedule is 8 weeks in, 4 weeks out.

The Mining Engineer will be accountable for:
  • Mine design for underground development and surface infrastructure
  • Scheduling of mine development
  • Preparing weekly and monthly mine development forecasts
  • Ensuring compliance with Mines QA/QC program
  • Preparing budgets and cost estimates
  • Specification and ordering of materials and supplies in support of operations and planned work
  • Supervising, directing and training Mongolian Mining Engineers, Draftspersons and QA/QC Technicians
  • Ensuring compliance with Mongolian regulations and site standards
The successful candidate will possess:
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in similar role
  • A university degree in Engineering
  • Willingness to work in a remote and demanding environment
  • Experience in mine design, ventilation and ground support
  • General experience with shafts, hoisting and lifting equipment in a production environment
  • Experience with mine infrastructure design and setup
