Shipping and Receiving Leader

DSI is currently looking for an enthusiastic and organized leader to manage the shipping and receiving department. This leader will provide effective leadership and decision making to improve processes and methods, reduce costs and develop staff.

The main responsibilities of this position will consist of:

• Inventory Control on and off site
• Proper tagging procedures
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries and incoming product
• Ensure proper quality checks before deliveries
• Develop procedures and ensure proper documentation, work procedure and handling of paperwork
• Log all receivables into Navision
• Prepare ship tickets, bills of lading, transfer order, customs forms and other shipping documents
• Responsible to ensure regular stock rotation and monitoring expiration dates
• Affix identifying information and shipping instructions to packed goods to be shipped as per customer requirements
• Verify accuracy of pick tickets against customer purchase order
• Recommends disciplinary action in accordance to company policy and maintains a high level of integrity and confidentiality when dealing with employee concerns, performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions with assistance of the Plant Manager and HR

The qualified candidate must:

• Has proven leadership experience
• Has worked in a manufacturing environment at least 3 years
• Has 3-5 years experience in Shipping and Receiving
• Proficient with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
