Job Description
- Accounting is a core component of our business and key to our success as one of the world’s largest steel producers. The Accounting organization ensures financial compliance, manages global financial results for external reporting and provides financial statistics to the Corporation’s Executive Team to aid in strategic business decisions. At U. S. Steel, you will enhance your knowledge and understanding of the Accounting field and the relationship between our operations and financial performance. This is an internship position that is scheduled to begin no later than June 1, 2012.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete a project related assignment in the line or financial analysis accounting function.
- Obtain an understanding of accounting responsibilities in manufacturing.
- Assist accounting staff with department needs as directed.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must be working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Candidate must have completed or be working towards the completion of their sophomore year and be in good academic standing.
- Candidate must have a cumulative G.P.A of 3.2 or higher.
- Candidate must have Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point knowledge.
